When Glow with the Show first invaded California Adventure Park back in 2012, support for the tech included Cars Land. If you click that link to one of the Disney blog pages about that, you'll find that the video referred to is no longer available on that page. Most likely that's because Made with Magic seems to have disappeared from Cars Land. At least, I couldn't detect signals there during a couple of my visits. Others I've talked with have found the same thing. Probably done.
Fortunately, there are some public videos on YouTube that were taken back in the days when Cars Land was still supported. This video, which looks like it has a Mouse Walt watermark, and covers the lighting effects at Cozy Cone, Luigi's and Flo's Diner.
From the looks of it, the effects at the Cozy Cone match the orange motif of the surroundings. Over at Luigi's, what I see looks to be the red, white and green colors of the Italian flag. Matching the lighting effects to the colors of the national flags is similar to what you find at Epcot. Maybe Luigi's was the inspiration for all that over at Epcot? Last, but not least, there's Flo's. That looks to be a more traditional application where the Made with Magic/Glow with the Show effects coordinate with the current audio track and surrounding lighting effects.
